Michael J. Seward

At the age of eleven, Michael Seward first attended portrait classes under Gerald Scott. From age sixteen to twenty-one, he pursued further studies with Gerald Scott at the Artist's Workshop and The Three Schools. Also during this period, he took summer classes with John Alfsen, John Newman, Graham Coughtry and Richard Gorman at The Three Schools.

Between 1964 and 1981, his works were displayed at Hart House, Gallery Moos, Rothman Centre (Moncton, NB), and the Toronto Outdoor Art Exhibition.

Drawings done by Michael Seward were reproduced in the Canadian Forum Magazine (1979 and 1980) and in Descant (1980).

His works are in the Toronto Archives and in private collections in Toronto, Montreal, Moncton Halifax and Calgary.
